At about 6:30 this morning, we got a phone call that my aunt is in the hospital. She had either had a heart attack, or was having one. She was immediately put into intensive care. While the doctors were working, her heart stopped & had to be restarted three times. I’m not sure of all the details, but the doctors aren’t making any promises.

Please pray for my family.

So there I am, at Stonewatch Keep in the Redridge Mountains. Aplace guarded by a bunch of level 22-24 Elites, and the target of 3 or 4 “Group” quests. “A place which has witnessed some truly spectacular kickings of my @$$,” to quote Spike.

I’m exploring it, right? being very careful to not aggro groups of three of these mobs. There’s a group going through there, very considerately slaughtering pretty much everything, including the three guards outside the tower next to Stonewatch keep. And leaving me my best chance of soloing one of these quests … I have to put this Glyph on a jar at the top. So I rush in … fortune favors the brave, right? and I’m met on the stairs by two level 22 elites. I give it a go, you know, Leeroy Jenkins-style. I use retaliation, sunder armors, a healing potion, and somehow manage to kill them both.

Cautiously, I continue up the stairs. And at the top, I see two more of these stupid mobs. But one is patrolling, and I am able to pull him down the stairs a bit and kill him without aggro-ing the other. Sweet. I rush up and kill the last one up there no problem.

I find the jar.

I right-click on it.

The progress bar progresses.

Ta-Da! The “complete quest” dialog comes up … and tells me I need the Glyph of Azora to complete the quest. The wha …? I totally have that.

You know, in the frickin’ bank, because I needed space in my bags earlier today.

Crap.

And the worst part? That tip in the title? Yeah, that’s the one that displayed when I logged in.

*** Update: … and then in the best stroke of luck I’ve had all day in this game, I went back, and there was another group going through. I hacked the mobs in the tower alongside them, got to put the glyph in its place without breaking a sweat really, and as a side bonus one of the mobs re-spawned as a shadowcaster, giving me the third shadow orb I needed for another quest. W00t! Two quests for the price of one!
