So my sister-in-law was scheduled to have her c-section tomorrow. Then it got pushed back until Thursday.

But they forgot to tell the baby, who didn’t want to wait any more, so she decided it was time to be born this past weekend.

My brother called my mom, and said “So what are you doing this afternoon?”

So congratulations to Tina and Jon, and welcome to the family to Megan. Who can’t read this, but whatever.

Ten fingers, ten toes, seven pounds six ounces, twenty inches, born December 16th 2006.

Pictures to follow soon. Unless I get lazy.

Warning: rant below!

<rant>

Frickin’ Windows Automatic Updates. So, last night,I was finishing up my Christmas shopping online, and I had several tabs open in Firefox, with pages for different items I was considering buying. But it was getting late, and I was tired, so I went to bed. I put my computer to sleep, too.

This morning, when I woke up, I “woke” my computer, then went to take a shower. When I came back to my room, I discovered that the Windows Automatic Updates program had gone and restarted my computer — to keep me “protected,” of course — and in order to do that, had gone and CLOSED ALL MY FIREFOX TABS.

I don’t remember everything that I had open. It’s as annoying as all get-out. I don’t even know what that expression means, but that’s how annoying it was.

Fortunately, Amazon had saved the two items that I knew I wanted to buy in my shopping cart, so it wasn’t a total loss.

But still, how annoying is that? Does anyone else have this happen to them? Is it annoying enough to disable the automatic restart, and risk not being “protected?”

AAAAUUGH!

Breathe. Okay. I’m done now.
