I am not in collections. I never have been. I don’t have many bills, and they’re all paid automatically, and I’ve never been unable to cover them.
So when I got a message on my cell phone from a collection agency last week, I was annoyed.
I don’t like collection agencies. I have to deal with one at work, and we’ve gotten calls on our home answering machine for other people before. Collection agencies are staffed by the most foul, tenacious, uncaring, and cruel people on the face of the planet.
It rained today. So naturally that’s the top news story on the 11:00 news.
Stupid California.
Okay. That was annoying.
First, WordPress was somehow set up to require that users have posted at least one comment before they could post others. I’m not going to moderate every virginal comment for everyone who stops by. So that got turned off real fast.
Second, I just saw a comment posted three days ago that Akismet flagged as spam. It sure didn’t look like spam to me. I didn’t even get an email notification. Apologies, Mick, your comment is now live.
Does anyone else use Akismet? If so, does it work well? Should I disable it? I don’t want to have to un-flag comments all the time. I don’t have the time or patience to do that.
Of course, historically (if the very short time this site has been up can be called historically), any comments left in reply only have a 50/50 shot at getting through to me …
San Luis Obispo gets a RadioU station, but So Cal Doesn’t? There’s already a station in Lompoc, and that’s only about 60 miles from SLO. Psh. Whatever.
Hey, RadioU, show some So Cal love. 
I mean, Air1 and KSGN are okay, but I don’t think either of them are gonna play Flyleaf or DemonHunter.
